The MVJMC entered several students in piano, duet and vocal festivals this month. All participants received double superior ratings in every catagory! This is the highest scoring possible to receive. WOW! Thank you students for bringing such teachable, humble spirits to each lesson and then being diligent to go home and practice your assignments in the manner in which you were instructed!
We are so blessed with the parents and students God has given us to teach and mentor! TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!!
Vocal festival- Samford University
Marissa sang Alma del Core and Give Me Jesus.
Victoria G. sang Sweet and Low and Sleep, Baby Sleep.
Kristen sang Go, Tell It On the Mountain and The Irish Blessing.
Duet Festival- Samford University
Victoria W./Marissa played Rondeau and Siciliano compositions by Bach and arr. by Weekly and Albright.
Piano festival- Dawson Memorial
Mallory played The Raven's Call and Road Runner.
Emily played The Stallion and The Lunar Eclipse.
Valerie played The Frolic and Etude Energico.
Jonathan played Harp Etude and Fiesta.
Marissa played Dance of Fire and Sonatina in A minor.
Kristen was to play Quiet Waters and Mussette in D and was up to receive her second gold cup this year, but her shoulder came out of socket and she wasn't able to play on saturday. : (
