Colossians 3:23-24

"And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ."

Spring Recital 2011

"We need lots of God's servants demonstrating good works to the watching world, but the observers must also be told that these things are being done by the enabling power of a good and gracious God." Jill Brisco

We have been thrilled with the student's hard work, and the resulting musical progress this past year. It has been even more exciting to see how the students have grown in their relationship with the Lord as they have seen His enabling power at work in their own lives. What a blessing it is to see a student become aware of serving and ministering opportunities around them, and to observe their submission to the Holy Spirit's leading in their lives as they freely share their musical gifts and talents with others.
Our pastor has a saying, "Life is not about me, and it's not about you, but life is all about Jesus!"
One of my highlights, from this past year, took place on our Japan mission trip when the young people sang and played the first Wednesday service we were there. We witnessed the Holy Spirit working in and through those young people as they ministered in that service. The students played and sang better than I have ever heard them play or sing, and His presence of love, joy and peace was present in that building. In fact, Christ was so present and power so evident that it brought tears streaming down my face (as well as the faces of the people in the audience), and gratitude to my heart for being able to witness that moment in those young people's lives.

We concluded the fall/spring semester with a recital at the Mountain View Baptist Church. Over all, the recital went very well, and we were very proud of our students. We conclude each recital with a reward ceremony and here are the results of that ceremony.
